NUIA stands for "Natural User InterAction" and is based on the term NUI (Natural User Interface) from the field of human-computer interaction. The focus here is on the natural interaction with the computer. The natural human senses are used as additional input modalities to enable the user to interact with the computer as intuitively as possible. NUIA makes the computer adapt itself to the user and not vice versa.
